Love Actually is actually a brilliant brilliant film...its so Christmassy and lovey, you just have to watch it. I have seen loads of times before, but it was on TV tonight and it still just blows me away.

And the fucker still makes me cry, I hate chick flicks...

I just wish that love really worked out like that...

What I wouldnt give for a romantic Christmas, you know that stupid, only ever happens in the movies moment...

Ah well back to the work!

Thought I'd share this gem :)
    Dear Technical Support,

18 months ago, I upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from DrinkingMates 4.2, which I had used for years without any trouble. However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off.

To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9.

I tried a shareware program, Slapper 2.1, but it had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks, therefore I went back to Girlfriend this time version 1.1 but this surprisingly had the same problems as the previous version.

Eventually, I tried to run Girlfriend 1.2 and Girlfriend 1.1 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other
they caused severe damage to my hardware.

After problems with every version of Girlfriend I eventually decided to upgrade to Fiancée 1.0, only to discover that this product soon had to be upgraded further to Wife 1.0. or it would uninstall itself

While Wife 1.0 tends to use up all my available resources, it does come bundled with FreeSexPlus (first six months only) and Cleanhouse 2004 although it is impossible to get Blowjob 1.0 to work with it

Shortly after this upgrade, however, I found that Wife 1.0 could be very unstable and costly to run. Any mistakes I made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0's memory and could not be deleted. They then resurfaced months later when I had forgotten about them.

Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary, Explorer and E-mail filter, and can, without warning, launch TurboStrop and Whinge. These latter products have no help files, and I have to try to guess what the problem is.
Additional problems are that Wife 1.0 needs updating regularly, requiring ShoeShop Browser for new attachments and Hairstyle Express which needs to be reinstalled every other week. Also, when Wife 1.0 attaches itself to my Saab 93 Convertible hard drive, it often crashes.

Wife 1.0 also comes with an irritating pop-up called MotherInLaw, which can't be turned off.

Recently I've been tempted to install Mistress 2005, but there could be problems. A friend of mine has alerted me to the fact that if Wife 1.0
detects Mistress 2005, it tends to delete all of your Money before uninstalling itself.

    Help requested

    Kind Regards,
    Any Man

The greatest near death experience of my life!
Well today was just the bestest day! Well sorta...I nearly got crushed to death, but then i did manage to wrangle tickets for the BIG WEEKEND, and thereby seeing SNOW PATROL - who are the best band ever you know!

I didnt get tickets in the post, but amazingly Cat had a friend who had a friend who had tickets that he didnt want, and so after a lot of random organising, i managed to get two of those tickets! YEY! I love you Cat! I seriously owe you a drink (or 10)!

So me and tash run along to the big weekend, it was huge, and amazing! The tents were cool! We went to the main stage and slowly started to edge our way to the front...

Orson were really good, i totally wanted the guys hat tho it rocked!

Then we were less than 10 rows from the front and Razorlight came on, and everyone went insane. They played some new stuff, but when they played their older stuff that everyone knew, it went mental...there was so much pushing and shoving and it was really scary! Me and tash got split up and i ended up getting so insanely crushed, seriously couldnt breathe - it was a really frightening experience. So tash decided to drag me outta there, which turned out to be just as difficult, as we were literally swimming against the tide. At one point I was dragged so far forward so quickly that i lost my feet and for a moment was surfing! Not a good thing tho, very very scary.

So after that we ran away for a bit! Got some chips and relaxed. Wandered over to the signing tent where we saw Orson, and then Snow Patrol. It was cool, we were only standing a few feet away from them.

After that, we sat outside and listened to Muse, then got cold and headed for the tent again. Unforch we had to listen to The Streets and then shitty dance music by Mylo (tho he was wearing a sponge bob square pants top, which redeemed him slightly).

    And after that
    SNOW PATROL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were just brilliant! And they had a really good mix of old stuff and new stuff (their new album rocks btw u need to get it now!) they were just so ssoooo good. Shiney!

So we went to leave and i think i had aquired a dislocated toe due to too much boucing around to Snow Patrol. I say dislocated, coz i thought it was broken at first - i was in so much pain! but as time went on it suddenly felt better, so im assuming that was after it popped back into place. Its still a bit sore now, but im sure ill live ;)

So that was my day at the big weekend! I was so shocked to be able to go (thanks again Cat), but i had a brilliant time! I got to see Snow Patrol, which is what i really wanted to do, so I am happy :D

Wow, long post there, not that i expect you to have read it all! :P

    OMFG!

I have had the best news ever today! I have been asked to do a commission!!!!

Long story short my website for Digital Media Practice was online for a while, and i sent it out to a few people...well my dad showed his work colleagues, and one of them was so impressed with my animation of Arty (my dog) that im doing for my personal project, that he said to my dad, if I pay her will she do one of my dog? Er HELL YES! I love creating them, and payment = YEY! Details are mega sketchy at the moment, it was only really mentioned in passing, but he is serious about it! Looks like I have a project for over summer :D

In other news, i have really surprised myself with my courseworks...Digital Media Practice was handed in a day early and 3D is ready to hand in today (tho havent decided if i can be bothered to leave the flat and hand it in today!) It feels nice to be in control of them! Also how cool is the email receipt thing, such a good idea!

And people wonder why i think 3DSM should die and burn in hell? Let me tell you something, i am not, repeat NOT doing my measurements again! LoL!

Aside from that coursework is going well...i dont feel worried or stressed about it at the moment, which at this stage in the game is weird. It just all seems to be under control.

Im really liking my website for DMP, and have done absolutely shit loads of research, so go me...and it was actually random researching for it that has given me the solution to what i want to do with my life! Specifically the next four years, which is really good!

Been going through a stage where i didnt know what i wanted to do anymore, thought, theres no way im ever gonna be an animator, coz lets face it, im not that good, or even that dedicated...i was even questioning the point of 4th year...well anyways, long story short i have found the masters degree im gonna go and do after this, it sounds amazing! Its a two year one, but its only an hours drive away from my house at home, so i could live at home for another two years! How much would that rock? For me, a lot! So thats the new plan, and im so inspired by it its giving me the motivation to keep going!

So to get on this course im gonna stay and do 4th year, which is the right decision...i had already made it, but i got talking about it with Lee (my badminton captain who has done like 2 PHDs) and he was like yeah 3 years is a degree but its only seen as a PASS not as an actual proper degree, it looks like you just scraped through, and that looks bad for employers. Also if you wanted to go on and do another degree you would need to finish the honours year first...i mean i had already decided to stay on at this point, but his words would have been useful a little while ago when i was unsure! Why is it that nobody tells us these things?

But yeah, so overall feeling really psyched up about things...and im really enjoying my personal project, so perhaps next year wont be so shitty after all...plus its another year to spend with u lot, which cant be bad ;)

Notice how its deadline time, and procrastination in the form of long LJ entries appear? Ah its great, got to love it!

So that was random, but its all goodness :)

    Warning major rant up ahead!
You know I feel it is time for a rant.

I am cranky, I have a headache, I’m tired and really pissed off just now, and have 20 minutes before something good comes on TV.

It is defiantly time for a rant.

    I really hate some people.

I cannot believe that some people in this life can be so mean and evil and still get away with it.

What is the point in going through life purely to make other people feel bad?!

    It’s just mean and nasty.

Live and let live I say.

But oh no. Some people think that by making others feel bad, that it somehow makes them better. Well *NEWSFLASH* it doesn’t. It makes you look stupid and immature. It makes you look like pathetic individuals who have to lord it over other people how great you are. The truth is, if you are great then you shouldn’t need to tell anyone. If you have to point it out, it means you really aren’t that good in the first place. And the greatest people of all are the ones who go unrecognised. This is a sad fact, but the best and nicest people never have fan clubs, they never even usually get praise or gratification. And yet they still keep doing nice things. Does this make them stupid?! Probably, but that is who they are and they aren’t going to change, however many times they get shit on.

And it is the nice people that get shit on. And it’s the nice people that take it. And it’s the nice people that smile and let it happen again. While the shitty people who would stab you in the back in an instant, get all the praise and attention and triumph.

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD?!

So I may not be good at things. I never ever claimed to be. But does that mean that me trying my fucking hardest should be laughed at and told I’m not good enough? I know I’m not good enough. I know that compared to the rest of you I'm a lazy shit. I know I’m a fat lump that can’t move round the badminton court. BUT I TRY. I try my hardest, and when that’s still not good enough I have the good spirit to laugh about it and put on a brave face. It doesn’t matter that I am the one that is usually left to sort out the team. It doesn’t matter that I walk for a whole hour just to get to the training session or match. It doesn’t even matter that even though I know I'm going to loose I turn up and loose with good grace.

    No.

    Of course not.

Because I’m shit. You like to laugh at me. You like to make me feel small. You like to make me wonder why the fuck I bother in the first place.

    BUT WHY?!

    For fucks sake.

    Everyone has to start somewhere.

I will get better at badminton with practise, but you will always have bad manners.

I cannot abide people who are rude.

I cannot abide people who think they are better than you.

I cannot abide people who try and make you feel small.

I cannot abide people who try and crush your spirit.

I cannot abide people who have no respect for others.

I cannot abide people who have no conscious.

I cannot abide people who do not consider others.

I cannot believe these people get away with being such complete and utter arseholes.

There is something very unjust in the world.

    It is not fair.

    That is all…
